Hardfacing

Hardfacing

At Cement Pakistan Co. we provide hard facing services to both worn equipment and newly engineered ones.
Hard facing is the application of a material to another material. During this process, the surfaces are welded together. Hard facing is done to metal surfaces to increase its durability and wear resistance. Other times, it is added to already worn out metals to restore its surface Considering the cost of the replacement of a worn out or damaged metal, hard facing is a more economical option to ensure its continuous use and reduce the wear of the metal. It restore the metals parts, mostly surface to a usable condition.
During hard facing, It is also possible to coat the materials surfaces with additives that will make it more durable and wear resistant. Hard facing materials generally include carbide, nickel and cobalt or iron based alloy (this can be supplied in a rod and could be in either powder or wire form depending on the process for which it is to be used).
Hard facing increases the lifespan of a particular machinery by making it more resistant to heat, wear, corrosion and impact (i.e. a fall).
We also make use of hard facing to rebuild machinery parts to match the OEM specification (The OEM is the regulating body for most of these materials).
Another thing we use hard facing for is to add more bulk to worn parts. Sometimes wears, (i.e. long periods of use) may cause some machineries and equipment reduce in size. On such occasions, hard facing is sometimes used to restore the equipment and machinery parts to their original sizes and shapes
Aside from our rebuilding and repair services, Cement Pakistan Co. seeks to meet all consultancy needs. We offer free hand facing checks to equipment and highly affordable hard facing services to suit all our client needs at every point in time. Give us a call and you will be glad you did
