Silos are containers in which materials are stored, in this case materials could be grains, filter dust, coal dust or any other item which is either of fine texture or grain. It is used to store materials in very large quantities
Types of silos
Mobile or small silo: Silos come in different types, each with their unique features. For smaller sized silos, they mostly range from 100-750 tons. They are fully mobile and can be easily transported at will, they also come with an electric weighing system to keep track of whatever is being transported and discharged through it.
The static silo: this type of silo is not much bigger than the mobile silo, it is suitable for storing fine grain and cement, and it mostly weighs about 200-800tons and is suitable for fine grain, coal, cement and grain.
The vertical silo is steel and very long, this type can contain a very large quantities of materials at a time. Silos are designed for storage and have continuously developed to what we have today. They are now able to store materials for as long as 10 years.
